The work that I do with animation is largely inspired by the animations that I watched when I was younger. While much of what we see and experience is confined to a certain plane of reality, cartoons and animation are unique. What made me so captivated by cartoons from Looney Tunes, Hanna Barbera, etc, is that the animators didn't just create appealing drawings and stories, they managed to create an entire set of rules that the characters within them were bound by. They defined their own gravity! They made physical impossibilities an unquestionable and integral part of their animated world! They literally made their own reality, with its own set of expectations, rules, and themes. My ambition is to model my artistic style after these animated styles, and come up with my own animated reality. My hope is to create animations that are light, fun, and enjoyable to watch.

My favorite animated theme is to take young, childlike cartoons and give them a hint of adult reality, thoughts, and anxieties. My goal at DePaul was to become well rounded in both hand drawn animation and CG. I am experienced with CG animation, rigging, and modeling, texturing, and lighting.
